Cave Hill Cemetery is a 296-acre cemetery and arboretum in the heart of the Highlands. It’s globally recognized as one of the most prestigious cemeteries in the world. As of 2015, the cemetery lacked a solid brand identity. When I came on, they had a logo, but no other collateral. Throughout my first year, I designed business cards, stationery, envelopes, folders, maps, and the like to bring Cave Hill’s image up to the reputation it’s created for itself. When the cemetery celebrated its 170th anniversary in 2018, I designed special anniversary business cards, return labels, and stickers to commemorate the year, as well.

As a small school in Southeastern Indiana, Oldenburg Academy relies primarily on direct marketing pieces to their donors and families to update their audiences on exciting developments within the school. The piece encompasses Admissions information for prospective students and their parents, athletics updates/news, stories on relationships the students build with the Sisters of Saint Francis (the sponsor organization of the school), and notifications on upcoming events. The magazine is published bi-quarterly and goes out to approximately 1000 homes.
For their inaugural season, the Oldenburg Academy Boys Football program approached me to design a poster touting their schedule. Since the school’s mascot- a twister- held a feminine implication, I opted to take a more intimidating approach with a play off the chaos this force of nature can cause. The tagline “Storms a’ brewin’” is still used by the program today.

Oldenburg Academy is a small, private Catholic high school in Southeastern Indiana (the only of its kind in the area). As part of their 2014 Annual Giving campaign, we designed a unique tri-fold brochure, using the name of every student enrolled in the school. This approach not only established a bond with the consumer and the piece, but reminded them of their personal investment in the school’s success as well.
With the intention of creating a truly unique piece that would entice and delight the recipient, I worked closely with Cave Hill’s President & CEO to design a holiday card that featured die-cut windows, original artwork, and a gorgeous gold foil. The piece was sent to over 200 homes.
Cocktails on the Lawn is Cave Hill Cemetery’s premier fundraising event. Each year, the cemetery welcomes over 500 guests to enjoy a night of food, cocktails, and tours, in an effort to raise money for the Heritage Foundation – the non-profit entity of the organization that focuses on the preservation and restoration of the grounds. Event collateral includes a mailed invitation, sponsorship recognition signage, and digital advertising in the Cave Hill Heritage Foundation E-Newsletter.
